Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
The upgrading of your item is an essential component to maximizing the potential of your gear. upgrade item allows you to add bonus stats onto your item's base level value.
Each upgrade template has a set of options which can be configured by using the edition GUI. These options include upgrading reference and the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The process for upgrading weapons, armor, and other gear in Cyberpunk 2077 was redesigned as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components can be found all over Night City, and the item you wish to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. The game will show a preview of the item's expected stats after upgrading. It will also display the component or material needed. If you don't have the level or resource to upgrade an item the button will read "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include armor and weapons and trinkets and gathering tools. Upgrade slots can be filled on each item, granting bonus attributes or other effects when the equipment is utilized. These upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchased from a vendor, looted or acquired as a reward.
There are two types: universal upgrades and gemstones. Universal upgrades, which are similar to gemstones can be used in any type of equipment and provide a smaller bonus than other types of upgrade components. They are simple to obtain because they are dropped by enemies and looted all over the world. Gems however, can be obtained by disassembling items or by completing certain tasks.
Upgrades can be replaced by new upgrades in a weapon's upgrade slot. However, doing so will damage the previous upgrade. Recycled Items

It is now commonplace to recycle items like aluminum, paper and plastic, giving them new life as something new. Recycling actually saves energy and keeps carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. To roll a new item you need to click the dice icon next to the item you have in your inventory. You can also hit the button in another lobby of a player and choose "Reroll". After rerolling an item, it will disappear from your inventory.
Rerolls can be purchased as well as other in-game items from Sagbe the in-game Token Shop trader. You can also earn free rerolls redeeming active codes in Fire Force Online. These codes can be used for a variety items, including Reroll Tokens or Clan Reroll Tokens.
